This folder provides access to a number of discussion platforms to exchange experiences regarding the development of valuation and financing instruments and their application in decision making and real case study situations.

If you are interested in one of the topics below you can freely take part in the discussion group. This is for registered members only however. If you are not a member yet, but want to become a member of the NV&F network, please send an e-mail to Mishka Stuip (mishka.stuip@fsd.nl)l. The topics reflect projects that are currently being carried out by the NV&F network:

• Discussion Platform for the PAY Project: This project aims to construct a practitioner's guide for financing ecosystem services for natural resource planners and local river basin managers. 
  
  
• Water and Nature Initiative (IUCN WANI) Discussion Platform: aims at demonstrating good water management supported by the development of tools for financing, governance, empowerment, and information. Towards these ends WANI partners with NV&F by offering an interactive discussion platform on water valuation and financing issues.
  
  
• Discussion Platform for the IUCN CEM project: The objective of this project is threefold. First, this study aims at developing a standard template to document and catagorise case studies on ecosystem valuation, financing and management. Second, developing an interactive website on this topic, of which this Discussion Platform is part. Third, carry out a pilot survey of case studies on ecosystem service management, valuation and financing.
