  • ALTER NET Summer School 2006

    BIODIVERSITY AND ECOSYSTEM SERVICES: ECOLOGICAL AND SOCIO-ECONOMIC ASPECTS

    The ALTER-Net EU Network of Excellence invites you to it´s first Summer School, to be held in Peyresq, Alpes de Haute-Provence, France. The Summer School topic is Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services: Ecological and Socio-economic Aspects.   •  The Department of Technology and Sustainable Development (former TDG) of the University of Twente will organise two short courses in 2006 in collaboration with some other institutes.

- Formulating Successful Project Proposals for Energy, Environment and Climate Change 1 May - 2 June 2006

- Energy Management and Cleaner Production in Small and Medium Scale Industries 23 October - 24 November 2006

  •  The Global Development And Environment Institute (GDAE) at Tufts University (Medford, MA, USA) has created four new modules on social and environmental issues in macroeconomics:

         *        USEFUL MACROECONOMIC TOOLS AND CONCEPTS 
         *        MACROECONOMIC MEASUREMENT: THE CURRENT APPROACH 
         *        MACROECONOMIC MEASUREMENT: ENVIRONMENTAL AND SOCIAL DIMENSIONS      

These new modules present chapters from an early draft of introductory textbook, Macroeconomics in Context.  The modules are available for free download at
